This coming weekend (March 6th) the Phoenix Art Museum will exhibit the work of five contemporary American photographers who individually and collectively document both the subtle and dramatic changes that have occurred in this country. Change is always going forward and we are always nostalgic about the past or the “good old days”. Photography can captures how it was for us and the opportunity to reflect honestly on the past.

I got to go to this yesterday. I was completely captured by each photographers work. It is hard to choose a favorite, but I really enjoyed Andrew Phelps, plus he is from Arizona so I feel like I have something in common with him, and understand his desert pieces a bit more.
Hi Katie, I will get to see the show this week. I am glad you enjoyed it and thanks for following us.

What did you think of the exhibit?
Hi Katie, I enjoyed the show. Some of what impressed me was how the photo images of people showed the young getting older and the landscape photo where about land being renewed, with a face-lift and getting younger.
I think some of us want to look and remain young and for our landscapes to keep there old charm.
