Not just a city for poker, slots and all you can eat brunch, Las Vegas, NV will host “American Modernism” at the Bellagio Hotel Gallery of Fine Arts from Feb. 8 to Oct. 15, 2008.
More than 30 paintings featuring works of Georgia O’Keefe, Stuart Davis, Marsden Hartley, and Arshile Gorky will be on display. (“American Modernism” is thought to have developed around 1900 in response to new artists searching for a change from the popular Impressionists of the time.)
The exhibit was organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.
