I was sitting in the park today and saw a bunch of students sitting by a fountain. One girl took her time to play with the leaves in the water. It was a wonderfully idyllic image. Very Pre-Raphaelite. I decided that that would be the inspiration for my next painting. And then in the mail today, I got an invite for an exhibit of Per Fronth’s new work. It was from one of my favorite galleries in New York. I just checked out their website and was tickled to see this painting by him. I love the title, “One Hundred Years of Complete Boredom”. I’d love to think that every image I create is one of kind. However, I find equal joy in being attracted to similar themes as other artists that I admire. Its like running into a friend and finding out that the night before, you both had a similar dream.
